عمان – نظمت لجنة الاعتماد الأكاديمي الدولي (ABET) في كلية العلوم الحاسوبية والمعلوماتية في جامعة عمان العربية ورشة عمل ثالثة لأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية حول كيفية ربط مساقات البرامج الأكاديمية بالمخرجات التعليمية الخاصة بالاعتماد الأكاديمي الدولي ABET وكيفية البناء الصحيح للامتحانات والنماذج والاجراءات المطلوبة.
واستعرض الدكتور حسام مصطفى من كلية العلوم الحاسوبية والمعلوماتية في الورشة الثالثة بحضور عميد الكلية ورؤساء الأقسام وأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية المخرجات التعليمية للطلبة ومؤشرات الأداء الخاصة بها، وتناولت الورشة التي جاءت بعنوان “ ربط المخرجات التعليمية للطلاب(ABET) بالتقييمات المباشرة للمساقات الدراسية” ، كيفية توزيع التقييمات المباشرة للمواد بالمخرجات التعليمية ومؤشرات الأداء الخاصة بها مقدماً أمثلة لنماذج الامتحانات الموجودة وطرق تحسين توزيع الاسئلة وصياغتها، بالإضافة إلى كيفية استخراج الاحصائيات اللازمة من نظام الامتحانات الالكتروني، هذا وتعتزم الكلية التقدم للاعتماد الأكاديمي الدولي ABET في المستقبل القريب.
A Workshop about the Linking of the ABET Student Learning Outcomes to the courses’ direct assessments has been held at Amman Arab University
Amman- The committee of international academic accreditation (ABET) at the faculty of computer sciences and informatics has organized a third workshop for faculty members to explain the required steps to link the student learning outcomes (part of the ABET international accreditation) to the direct assessments of the courses. In addition, the issues related into how to write exams in a way that is consistent to ABET accreditation, has been addressed. The dean of the faculty, departments’ chairmen and faculty members have attended the workshop.
During the workshop, Dr. Hossam Mustafa presents an introduction to the student learning outcomes (SLOs) and its performance indicators (PIs). Furthermore, the workshop, entitled linking the students’ outcomes to the direct assessments of the courses, shows how to distribute the direct assessments of the courses into the students’ outcomes and its performance indicators. Dr. Hossam Mustafa presents several exams’ samples and how to write these exams in way that is consistent to ABET accreditation. Moreover, Dr Hossam presented how to extract the necessary statistics from AAU online examination system, it is to be noted that the college plans to apply for the ABET accreditation in the near future.
